Does anyone have any ideas for a thesis regarding immigration in the United States?

Answer:
Habeus Corpus and Deportation Proceedings in the U.S.

Generally, if a person is caught attempting illegal entry into the U.S., he/she is placed in a holding facility.

There is no right to speedy trial act; there is no right to an attorney-no attorney is provided; there is no release on bond.

The person is forced to be treated as an inmate, being forced to live in an over-crowded cell, living with felons/drug addicts/murders/rapists/child molesters and being treated like a con (not that type of Con) during his entire residency at the facility.

Dig around a little bit; there is plenty there to write an important thesis.
American culture is as valuable and worth preserving as any foreign culture. While we respect the cultures of legal immigrants who come here for work and citizenship, we must afford American culture the same respect. Immigration should be regulated to provide for assimilation.

It is not a racist act to preserve that which makes America what it is. When America becomes Mexico, or Mexamericanada, that which makes this place special will be all used up. The attraction will be lost, and America will build a wall to keep them in , no longer to keep them out.
why are Americans racist against immigrants if they are descendents of immigrants, how about that?
LMAO! Yeah, I have a few.
Only those who will truly work to better themselves and the country (Caucasians) should be allowed to live in the country; incidentally, ethnic cleansing is an often overlooked solution to this problem.
Illegal immigration is a repugnant self entitlement that robs people who actually have a greater need to come here. i.e. War torn African refugees, people escaping dictatorships, communist china, etc.
Perceptions of legality and movement of people along political borders with a focus on cultural variants and history of assimilation.

OR

Do diachronic analysis of US Immigration Policy, from as far back as you can go, and focus on how different groups experience migrations, and the boundaries of legality and violation and the construct of "legal versus illegal" movement and who establishes and aheres to it. Certainly not the initial batch of europeans that murdered the natives.
