What does the african american community think about the immigration thing going on?

It seems at this moment that are with the anti-illegal crowd. They are not stupid either...they know as well as anyone they are in direct competition for jobs as well.
i myself am not an african american but in my own honest opinion it shouldn't matter what color your skin is, the immigration issue is something that needs to be taken care of now, not any other time
in one sentence: GET THE DAMN LAW DONE RIGHT BY THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ALREADY!
I'm not black, but I hang out with black people sometimes.
Most of them like Mexicans, although they don't really care for the illegal ones. On the other hand, they know white people are using them to pit them against Hispanics, when just a few years ago they were beating and discriminating against them and only 50 years ago they were even lynching them.

Enough with the political correctness... Black people are not African Americans unless they themselves immigrated from an African nation and became American citizens... Why is everyone so damn hung up on being politically correct... I'm a white person, not a German-French American (going from my family's linage)... If we are American citizens, then why not just call us Americans ? Why is it so important to distinguish color in reference to people ? By the way, this American believes we have over extended our hospitality to our neighbors to the South !
I understand your point, however, black people are Americans, too. Why would the majority of them think any differently than non-black Americans? Blacks work hard (just like the rest of us) only to see a portion of each paycheck pittered away to illegals. They watch inner city problems get bigger and bigger every year (just like the rest of us), while our government looks the other way. Blacks are turned down for jobs, turned down for state assistance and face the same problems with illegal immigration as the rest of us. So I guess what I'm saying is, black Americans are still Americans and they share the same patriotic values as all the other citizens. Of course there are exceptions ...
The Black Americans I know of across this nation do not read, are struggling against the limited resources that already exist, do not like Mexicans (and vis a vis).
Generally they are apathetic or angry or don't give a darn.too busy struggling, working, killing one another or snubbing one another.
Black folks here in the USA can't/won't even help one another.
Well last black person I discussed this with said that illegals are more racist than white people. He also stated that he sees illegals as a threat to the black community because they will make it harder for black people to get jobs.
