Do you support blanket amnesty?
Answer:
Sorry no on this one. Not blanket amnesty as that would be including the criminals you spoke of booting out and keeping in jail in your last question. And no to this reform bill because it didn't go through proper channels to get to the Senate in the first place. They forgot about the committee who does all the research, and makes suggestions to or for the bills amendments.
Okay you're right. I misread your Q's additonal comment. My bad. Forgive me?
I don't support amnesty of any kind.
Blanket amnesty, yes.but first secure the border for real.
i do.
I support amnesty for those who really do work and give back...But the criminals, like gangs, rapists, murders, need to be thrown in jail...
no
No, I don't support amnesty. I, like you, support immigration reform. I believe the reform should start with tougher laws on illegal immigrants, employers who encourage illegal immigration, and the people that help them to get into this country. I believe that it does not call for relaxing the current requirements we have for someone to gain access to this country and become a citizen. I also believe that it should require tougher law enforcement to match those that our neighbors have, but refuse for us to implement.
Absolutely. All blankets everywhere should be forgiven for their crimes and set free or turned over to shelters that will rehab them and prep them for return to the wild.
i don't believe in amnesty. that's like rewarding illegals for breaking our immigration laws.
I support immigration reform too. It needs to be toughened up, and then enforced.
Roll them up in blanket Mail them back home,ILLEGAL means What?let them go fight their corrupt Government, change it. Get ready for 500,000 Iraq Refugees new citizens, why dont theystay home clean up their problems.enforce laws we have now
No, Why is this government trying so hard to make Mexicans the favorite immigrant group. Thousands of foreign born Americans came to this country legally. Now that George W is in office, he is trying to change things. We have had immigration laws on the books for year and now the president is talking out of his ***. On one hand, he says let us secure the border and on the other hand, he wants to give Mexicans a free ride. immigration is nothing new to this country. This country finds its strenght in the diversity of her people. People that came her legally. They came. learned English, and did well.
Amnesty is a political joke and a ploy to buy the Hispanic vote. heck, LETS JUST GET RID OF THE BORDER WITH MEXICO AND MAKE IT THE 51ST STATE. The president is failing in his job as president,
I do not support blanket amnesty. I do support some immigration reform but not this farce pseudo bill that is currently in the Senate. It offers no protection to American workers, has a massive increase in H1B visa's, very lax enforcement, and as usual almost no penalties against companies and employers who hire illegal labor. Close the border to all but legal traffic and then take up reform issues 1 at a time starting with significant fines and penalties for companies and employers who hire illegal labor and more severe penalties for habitual offenders.
I don't like the term "blanket amnesty" and I'm not sure what that includes exactly. Does that mean EVERYONE who is illegal gets to stay? Because not all illegals are equal in my mind. Many of them want to contribute to America but not all.
However, if amnesty is granted I think it will be difficult to tell the small amount of bad apples from the rest. How do you tell if someone is a gang member? Unless they cop to it there isn't really any way to know. So, unless someone is already "in the system", amnesty is going to let in a few undesirables. That's just the way the cookie crumbles.
In answer to your main questions, I support blanket amnesty with caveats.
