Would this be a good amendment to immigration?

Since immigration is going to destroy our social fabric. Increase taxes to pay for all the social programs and bankrupt social security system. Maybe this is a good time to bring up privatizing social security again. Should we add this as an amendment? Watch the libs go bonkers on that one.

Answer:
You know...that is one sure way to make it so it wont pass, so why not?

If we are going to hell in a hand basket, why not go all the way?
Two wrongs don't make a right.
Increase taxes?

Someone is already bonkers.
Before I can seriously consider your question you must provide solid evidence that: "immigration is going to destroy our social fabric. Increase taxes to pay for all the social programs and bankrupt social security system." If you cannot provide evidence of this, then your question is not valid.
Yes plz prove how immigration is going to destroy us? Get your facts right.
blame on Armaggedon...not on immigration
This isn't about "libs" or "cons." This is a bi-partisan attempt to sell out law-abiding Americans -- including legal immigrants -- for the promise of votes, for agribusiness, for mega-chain stores...

We will fund them; they will benefit.

Rather than enforce the amnesty of 1986, this "reform" is definitely not a conservative or a liberal issue.
Why do you say immigration is going to destroy our social fabric. This country is based on immigration. There isn't a single person in the US who's family didn't immigrate to the US at some point in time. And I don't see how it's going to bankrupt Social Security since you have to have paid into Social Security to receive benefits.

Now you can argue that it might increase costs on some social programs, but many of those programs would still exist and require money even without immigration.

For what it's worth, what's going to bankrupt Social Security is the increasing number of people drawing benefits as the baby boomers age while there are fewer people paying in because the next generations are smaller.

If you have a problem with immigration, that's fine, but at least take some time to truly understand the issue.

And by the way, many immigrants are here to work and not draw welfare or other public assistance. While they may not be working legally, they are still paying taxes in the form of payroll deductions (assuming they are not working under the table), sales taxes, and many of the other taxes and fees that citizens are paying.
We wont get that far, socialized medical will bury us first. Picture 20 million illegals get to stay and Hillary gives them all free medical. Say hello to high taxes for the working man.
