Is it more costly to support the illegal immigrant population or use all-American labor?

Which would be more expensive to us, in reality?

Answer:
It is more costly to support the illegal population. The ones I know mostly get paid in cash. That means that neither the employer or the employee are paying taxes.

Then a portion of what they earn is sent to Mexico to support families there.

They use way more social services than you would think they could... from WIC food and diapers and medical, to emergency hospital visits, and many other social services that don't check for legal residency. The kids in school get breakfast and lunch and after school care. So there is a burden on the tax supported agencies.

Further, it has gone beyond jobs that Americans won't take... many Americans are losing their jobs because the employer coyotes in illegals and pays them less and doesn't have to pay for benefits. Americans cannot compete with that, and so have to take the minimum wage jobs without benefits when they might have been making as much as $10/hr more. It not only costs American families income, it creates a whole new slave labor class that we have spent the last 150 years trying to make amends for.

One argument is that the illegals are union busters. Some argue the unions are bankrupting America. Others argue that corporate greed is bankrupting America. I say they keep each other in check. If the unions are busted, what's to stop the corporations from sucking all the money to the top? They make too much now.
american labor would cost us(u.s.) in the long run. by having illegal immigrants do the jobs we don't want. we can have them do it for far less than we would expect.
In the long run it will be more costly to support the illegal immigrants.
American laborers will not send money back to mexico, and wont spraypaint on walls at our expense, and will not have to steal SS#'s

I could go on and on.but I think you get the picture.
Costly for who? That is the question. The rich (that not only run the businesses but also contribute to political campains therefor making THEIR opinions more valuable to the lawmakers) doesnt like to pay fair wages. The rich exploits labor to their own means. Low wages are not low enough any more. They want to increase their bottom line by decreasing ours. Benefits are a joke anymore, in most working enviorments. Things are getting ugly for the workers, so the bosses can drive fancier cars, fly faster jets and eat more fish eggs.
The cost of products would not go up that much if we used US labor it would cut into the companies profits which are overinflated when they use illegal labor, what we need to is boycott companies that use the illegals cut your own lawn clean your own house raise your own kids,if there is no work there are no illegals
cheaper to get rid of illegals, and let Americans do those jobs that we will do for a decent wage.
all american: includes all nationalities pretty much. our nation is made up of a fair amount from all countries. it's just lately that we've had big problems...so.what is your question really asking?
do you mean this?

why do the mexican illegals (the largest amount of illegals currently invading our countries workforce) cost us so much?

well, as it was stated on the US Senate Floor 2 weeks ago, each american pays 20K for each illegals here...and thats only if there are 12 million illegals here. this is why so many people are mad and feel used by the illegals. it's because they've taken our jobs, lowered our wages and we still end up paying for all the services they receive (ie: school, hospital care, etc...)
Illegal alien criminals cost us so much more. They don't contribute but we sure have to pay for them. Independent studies show that for each illegal family it costs taxpayer over $22,400 per year. Over their lifetime it will cost taxpayers over $.5 MILLION for EACH illegal alien!

The $5 head of lettuce is a myth. Labor is only a tiny part of the costs. Using American labor, and paying them proper wages helps our economy. The illegals are destroying it!

These are facts, not opinions.
Well for the employers of course it is cheaper for them to hire the illegal day laborers and pay them no ss and no benefits, etc, they work under the table.
For the American People it is much more costly to hire illegals because they are not contributing to taxes, ss etc, but are using our service systems, welfare etc.
