How does one go about getting a green card to work in the U.S. for 6 months?

My boyfriend from Germany wants to come live with me for 6 months, and wants to work while he's here. How exactly would he be able to get the green card (or anything else) he needs to be able to do this?

Green card - no way. The process takes longer than 6 months.
Working permit? I doubt so.

He must have an invitation from US company for H1B visa.
if he doesnt have $500,000 dollars to spend on an investment or making a business hiring 10 full time American workers it aint going to happen
He might be able to get a work permit, but he won't get a green card for six months. It takes a long time (years) to get a green card. If he wants to work, he needs to find a corporate sponsor.
the process takes longer than 6 months he needs to apply for one in his country then wait and theres alot of other stuff he needs to do to
You have to marry him before he can get a green card and work permit.
You have to apply at the American embassy of the country were you live .
No he won't get a green card for only work here six months, now he can get a work visa, thru the people or company that he's going to work for.
Well this is not rocket science if he lives in Germany,he can go to his immigration office or what ever they call it in Germany or the German Embassy or even if I am correct the US,Embassy,and apply for a green card that's it as long as he has the proper ID,to prove who he is that is it.
