Why do people think that illegal immigration should be okay?

It is not okay to have closed borders. Your friends are victims of this selfish nation. They had the right just like everybody else to travel to any part of the world to live. Or maybe it will be okay for an illegal to march in the US and kill as many Americans as they can then take as much US soil by force. That is what the Europeans did. GOD is paying all the Americans back...just look at terrorism.
They know it is wrong, they just dont care!~ they want what is best for their family and foreign citizens!!..NOT what is best for America and Americans
People think there should be comprehensive reform for those already in the country that lack documents, not the "illegality" of it. Immigration channels are closed to the millions that do not meet certain education and income requirements, so they come illegally because their work is in demand. Simple as that.
Point bieng it is not okay and it shouldn't be thought of as okay! Maybe one day they will find a way to impose a amnesty bill with the right words and laws, wich 80 to 90% of LEGALS will agree with. I have met a few illegals who are very hard workers, obey laws(though they came illegaly of course) pay insurance for a vehicle and speak english! Mind you I don't know many at all but there is good and bad in all! Then maybe our borders will be protected as they should be, I must say I don't blame them for wanting better. Don't we all, this should be done legally of course! Note, I do have a child with an illegal, damn fate and love huh?
Did we legally immigrate here and ask the Indians if we could stay? This is just Gods way of paying us back for What we did when we settled this country.
Illegal immigration provides cheap labor so that businesses make more profit without having to pay any benefits or giving employees any rights. This allows CEO's to make even more and allows stockholders to get richer.
It also fuels a passionate debate on television and TV stations make more money and politicians are able to ask for more money from regular Americans so that they can get reelected and continue to screw us.

Did the pilgrims go through immigration? They did not. Was it wrong for them to come here, when people already lived here, and did not want them here? Yes. Did I answer your question with a question? I did. :)
Anyways, the Immigration System is very bloated. in the 1800's all you had to do was show up on a boat. Sign your name, and then you were instantly American. Today the system is very difficult and time consuming. Immigration is not easy. It is not easy to sneak in either. I think if the system was was more simple and quicker, that more people would use it.
I think what we find most objectionable of all about illegal aliens is the fact that they feel entitled to being here and remaining here illegally while getting free handouts from the Government and spitting on America in every way they can.
They do not want to entigrate into American society and become American instead they want to remain loyal to Mexico and work here while spending only what is necessary here and sending the rest of it back home to Mexico which is making their economy strong while ours becomes weak.
They also come here to break our laws by smuggling in drugs,kidnapping,
murdering,raping,
stealing cars and taking them across the border never to be seen again and shooting at our border patrol agents.
Of course there are those who come here and are honest and work very hard and want more than anything to be law abiding citizens but they are the ones who come here legally for a better life.They are an asset to America just as everyone else who came here legally looking for a better life and are grateful that they found it here in America.
At my husbands work the Mexicans he works with are highly racist towards him because he was born here.One of them just the other day walked up to him and told him that if he could afford to he would hire a white boy to do his gardening.But said my husband is lucky because he can't afford it.They have called him Hitler because he's blond haired and blue eyed and have referred to him as 'slave' and told him to do something.
This goes on every day and all day long where he works.They are always downing America and insulting my husband because he's here legally and they're not.They say they are the superior race and Americans suck.
This is exactly the kind of attitude that makes us not want to give them legal citizenship.If we did that they would hate us even more and consider us weak and pathetic.
Besides how would one group of people feel who are locked up for breaking the law about another group of people who broke the law but got away with it and not only that but rewarded for it as well?
Answer,they wouldn't like it at all and other people would feel compelled to break the law as well seeing how the consequences are no longer there to suffer.
The people that my husbands work with who are mostly Mexicans also like to brag about how they make more money than him because their woman is on Welfare and they are buying a house using free Government money and also live with relatives who own businesses that were bought with American Government money and they are rich.The whole time they talk about it they are rubbing my husbands nose in it as if he were a dog and they laugh at him for having such a stupid Government.All the while my husband is being taxed to death and has to pay a fortune for his medical benefits and Union dues and can barely make ends meet.
Every day he suffers because of this and if he were to cry discrimination he would be fired for it and his tormentors would celebrate.
Yesterday I was walking with my 5 year old son out to the parking lot towards where I was parked and walked behind a SUV whose motor I didn't hear was on.
As soon as I barely cleared the back of it the SUV suddenly backed out very fast making it's tires screech.I grabbed my son and dove for cover to get him out of the way.Then I looked up to see who was behind the wheel and in shock looked into the face of what appeared to be an illegal alien from Mexico and he was smiling...
Then he suddenly put it in gear and sped off.He tried to run us over but I was able to get out of the way fast enough and protect my son.I thanked God for watching over us because only 1 second too soon and we would have been dead.
I then went home and prayed to God to not let amnesty pass because I was scared to death of what would happen to us if it did.
But the positive side to all of this is now they know they can't get away with using and abusing us they may just try to turn a new leaf and do the right thing by becoming legal.

Maybe the real problem isn't immigration legal or otherwise but instead the outmoded concept of the nation-state. From space you can see the truth. The borders we find so important are completely arbitrary lines drawn on the map by petty minded politicians. Why do we arbitrarily divide ourselves into nations and bicker over lines on a map when there is really just one planet Earth, one pale blue dot for six billion people to share. There should be one nation, Earth, and one border the atmosphere. If the Earth were united into one nation we could eliminate the petty bickering over immigration and stop waging wars over resources.

I agree with you. If they want to come here they should do it the legal way. I realize their situation might be bad, but other people are trying to get here legally and are working hard for it.
