Simple question for all of you?
I'm mean try being a Mexican-American who looks Arab for one day
and before you all brand me a racist I'll let you know
my boyfriend is white [British-Scottish]
my sister in law is white
one of my cloest friends is white
so I don't hate white people
Answer:
Spazz sorry you have been treated this way.I have many white friends and to be honest, I don't feel I have been discriminated against by white people. That being said, I know racism exists and many black and brown Americans deal with it on a daily basis.I see it here, and I am horrified...The only thing I can tell you is, it is THEIR problem and not yours!
The only thing I wonder is when you plan to get over yourself. And when you plan on getting a clue.
AD
huh? I dont think I am being discriminated against.I am looking at this Immigration problem as one of Law and economics...but granted I do see alot of racist and discrimination type of remarks that resemble what you say...It really has no place on either side of the discussion here...
it's because white people are the ones being targeted as racist as soon as we say something unpopular.
no other race is condemed to being called racist nearly as much as whites.
you do not have to be white to be a racist.
only ignorant. and that comes in every color.
I don't think that, and please don't make generalizations. Don't let a few bad apples spoil the batch. Most people really aren't racist. Unfortunately, the few that are speak loudly, though. Just don't listen. Regardless of skin color, hair color, eye color, religion... everyone is the same underneath and we need to respect everyone.
I am white.. but I agree with you.. I am sure you do get branded sometimes.. and it is not fair.
A lot of people like to think they're being discriminated against. It makes them feel important and also keeps them from thinking about the real reasons no one likes them, or they don't get the job/promotion they wanted.
Huh? Who said that white people are the only ones who get discriminated against. Discrimination happens every day to every type of person.
Everyone everywhere is convinced that they are discriminated against.on the basis of whatever is different about them. I've worked in Human Resources for over 25 years and I have heard it ALL. I've had employees tell me they are discriminated against because they are:
Black, white, hispanic, asian, male, female, gay, straight, short, bald, sick, disabled, don't play golf, shy, honest, fat, etc.
Anytime someone doesn't like something that happens, they are convinced that it is because they posses some personal attribute that causes them to be singled out as compared to the group they are personally feeling inferior to.
Sometimes my job gets really annoying.listening to people whine whine whine all day long.
Kind of like your post.
Yeah, I can feel the love.
I have not noticed that, sounds to me like you have a sensitivity problem.
I have read a lot of your stuff, you ARE a racist, take a look at yourself.
the thing is all people face some type of discrimination, because its human nature for humans to consciously or sub consciously view others as suspect from time to time. I've been guilty of it, and I'm everyone else here has too. if someone is going to discriminate against me based on my skin pigmentation, i just move on. I've a happy life, i don't let the small things bother me.
Hahahaha! That's a good one! Are you implying that white people are the ones crying race all the time? Riiight...
white people..myself included don't even begin to understand what discrimination is...we have done more then our share of it
If you have brown skin, go down to Dallas Tx for a few days. Let us know how many whites you see getting discriminated. I was there for 13 years. I never saw one. I did see it happening to alot of brown skin hispanics.
You go around and harass other Mexican-Americans who don't agree with your view. We've all seen your comments around here. I don't think you're comfortable in your own skin. Do you own a mirror hun?
You sound mad because you were born with dark skin. This is not an assumption but I've seen the comments you left for one Mexican-American girl on here and you put her down because of her brown skin.
response: so you're going to put someone down for having the same skin color that you have just because your buddies metro and petey do it? Good answer, good answer. A large part of racist is being ignorant and your answer just proved that you're both.
I'd answer this but it seems like a white person can't answer a question nowadays without being branded racist. Any other race is allowed to be racist and get offended if they're called racist, but if a white person says the same comment, OMG, they're a RACIST.end of the world! How could they?? Its all crasy. I'm not racist, I love all people, all colors, as long as they're here legally living life like an American to it's fullest, which includes working an honest job for they're pay, not illegally, and they're abiding by our laws like we must do, and paying taxes like we must do. Racist? No, I am not, I just like people who are abiding by the same laws and living an honest lifestyle, no matter what color they maybe. Illegals now, no, we won't go there. I don't mean this in a nasty way, just saying how I feel, people who don't understand will be offended I guess, but I sure don't mean it that way.
In the context of government handouts (i.e. affirmative action and other government subsidizes), the single white heterosexual male is the most discriminated man in America. Of the ethnicity's listed above who is at the bottom, your boyfriend. Everyone else will receive sympathy is some form, whether for hire (Mexican, Arab, gay or women), time off work (women for preggo or Arab for Islamic prayer time) or for ability to enter country without to much hassle (Mexican).
So before your little ego trip makes your head explode; open your eyes and realize how America really works.
somedays i wish i was hispanic not pay taxes a car and house provided and lots money in gov. grants
Why is this question listed under immigration ?
Well, looks like your question wasn't so simple after all huh?
We don't feel like we are discriminated against. We just don't like being called racist every time we say something negative against anyone of color. And personally I am sick of the race card getting played every time something happens to a person of color even if they brought it on themselves. My dog is black, my cat is yellow and my cows are black and white. So I don't hate colors. Keep the change!
Go back to Mexico!
I hope you are not making this comment in regard on one comment I submit this afternoon, I gave my reasons about: why I do not like white people, it may not be all of them, but I've been discriminated by a whole bunch of them, and true I been politely treated by few of them, I really do not consider myself racist, Iately and base on the discrepancies that I had, I just try to treat people fairly, I TREAT THEM THE WAY THEY TREAT ME.
Why must we endure your personal problems, take some anti depressants.
Why cannot we ignore race and ethnicity entirely? It is just like the color of your eyes. It has no influence on someone's character or merit.
y do all mexicas think its all about them
