Illegal aliens kill more US citizens each year than the war in Iraq has killed in four years. Apologists for illegal immigration like to paint it as a victimless crime. But in fact, illegal immigration causes substantial harm to American citizens and legal immigrants, particularly those in the most vulnerable sectors of our population--the poor, minorities, and children. Additionally, job competition by waves of illegal immigrants willing to work at substandard wages and working conditions depresses the wages of American workers, hitting hardest at minority workers and those without high school degrees. Illegal immigration also contributes to the dramatic population growth overwhelming communities across America--crowding school classrooms, consuming already limited affordable housing, and straining precious natural resources like water, energy, and forestland. Taxpayers are being forced to pay for the free health care, education, and other welfare programs being given to illegal aliens; Those tax dollars could be given back to U.S. taxpayers or used to keep our borders secure; They may be here illegally, but they sure know how to "work the system" to collect "free" medical care, "free" education, "free" food, Section 8 housing vouchers and other housing assistance, and hundreds of other social services. It costs citizens additional hundreds of billions of tax dollars at every level: local, state, and federal. It gobbles up billions of our charitable contributions. And much of that money ends up siphoned out of our economy and into offshore accounts. Illegal aliens, over half of whom work "under the table" with neither job nor income reported (nor taxed), are not counted as employed or unemployed. But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. There is not benefits. It is a drain on society. There are a bunch of people that "feel sorry" for them, that are trying to keep them in here without thinking about the consequences.
there is no benefit. over 90% of all crimes are comitted by illegal ALIENS. they're all criminals, whether they like it or not. breaking into the country is a crime.
I totally agree with you. The next generation of our kids will hardly be able to get jobs and an education because of this isssue.
They pay income taxes. It gets deducted from their paychecks like everyone else. Why won't people stop spreading the lie that immigrants don't pay into the system?
The sadness is that i beleive like myself many others would agree to this point, i watched a documenttary only the other day & oh my those ladies where treated bad, with prostitution, over worked under paid jobs, but only illegal immigrants would do that in order to send money back to their family, what about the TAx Payer?, do we have a right?..sadly that is in reality a NO...we are part of a system, there is more immigrants coming into the country than what the government is disclosing?, question why?, the only reason is to supplement their own political propganda's simple..
well i agree with u somewhat, but i dont think that they are obliged to speak US english. The US has no official language, and alot of their customs are better than ours.
i think that they come here to work their asses off 4 a better life and should be treated like human beings, ur not in their position. they cant find jobs andf their governments are full of corruption. there should be stricter border control, but why should they lose their culture and replace it with another.
this country was founded by many different cultures and by the way why dont u speak native american, why dont ur ancestors speak native american, its becuz they decided to stick to their culture just like the immigrants today
Companies love cheap labor. If you send their cheap labor away, you effectively drive the companies away. If you drive the companies away, you flush America down the toilet. Like it or not, that's the way it is. Doesn't really benefit us at all, really. My advice is to study hard and get a good job that illegals can't take away because they lack the skill.
very good question and I like you am not racist but I do have a problem with illigal immigration. I feel if they want to come to this country that is fine, most of us are immigrants, unless we are full blooded native american. I do not see any good to them coming here because employers hire them at the lowest rate possible and that hurt us and them. If they want to come they can feel free but they need to be legal.
well- here in Spain, illegal immigrants-- cannot work without a permit-- legals- unless employed through UK countries, can not work for 6 months without a permit-- so How then do they live?and support their families?--- 3 guesses???, steal-rob.- and burglary- so what is better ? a work permit? or all the crime?You can decide.
There is no real benefit to the US. Yes they fill jobs, but there has never been a demonstrated need for them to do so. For example, the media were quick to show outrage when they reported an immigration raid that nabbed over a hundred illegals in CO. There was even speculation that it would drive up the price of meat. What they didn't report was that the very next day there was literally a line of legal applicants at the business looking for jobs. In any event, there is absolutely no need for illegal immigrants to be here. If we discovered a sudden labor shortage Congress could pass a bill in six hours that would increase the number of LEGAL immigrants.
thats a good question, but in reality why do u think, taco bell, mcdonalds and most fast food restaurants are able to provide cheaps food among other goods?? thatll be thanks to illegals who are willing to work for less or no benefits than an american or any other legal resident, it's not a matter of culture, but it's all because capitslism
I agree, but that the question really is what is the benefit? Yes the good thing is that we are able to give people a better life, everyone deserves it, but what are "WE" as american's; not meaning white or black or yellow or brown, but what we are going to do, our government doesn't really care, or they have fabled ideas. There needs to be a right to work program. Bill Handel a talk show radio host was talking about this, his made asked if she could take a day off to go and rally in downtown los angeles, he said "no problem, but why would you rally?" her reply being "Because I have to support my people, for La Raza." He said to her "what happens when there is so many illegal immigrants her that one comes to my door and says that they can do the same job you do for a cheaper price?, or when your kids that go to public schools have already 35+ students in the classroom, fill up to 60+? I can afford to keep my kids in a private school, so it won't affect me." And this is one of the greatest points! For us being citizens and cannot afford private schools for our children what do we do? Kids now a days are not getting educations that they need, there is already to many kids in the classrooms. You say build more schools, the sad thing is that all of us would just pay more tax's. The government isn't going to feel sorry for us and help us out. They'll just tax us more. So, I say, to finally answer your question is there is no benefit, the produce answer where people say they do the jobs that americans won't do, 99% of the time the people that write that wouldn't do it themselves! So there are no great benefits. Unless you just feel good for helping someone out!

I agree we need a stricter border patrol but if there here and have been here for many many years then they should have the right to become a citizen. If they are all deported who do you think is gonna do those jobs nobody else wants to like picking fruits and vegetables in the hot weather for many hours? not americans because then the company would have to pay us a whole lot more causing inflation and the company charging alot more for there product. So think about life without those people that will do those jobs for low pay and dont try to say there are americans who are willing because there not because it won't pay for the material things we all love like new clothes,shoes and the newest everything.
