Which President of the USA signed the immigration reform act of 1986?
Answer:
President Regan
Good ol' Ronnie Reagan!
senoir bush
Ronald Reagan
Reagan.
I still believe he was sincere. At the time I believed they'd enforce, going forward, myself.
Reagan since he was the President then. And he was wrong, it only got worse.
Do some homework and see who was president that year.
Ronald Reagan
You don't know who our President was in 1986?
pretty sure 86 would have been reagan
reagan but it didnt really stop immigration it looks like the immigrants felt that pres. will do this continuously
Ronald Reagan.
.
The Immigration Reform and Control Act (Simpson-Mazzoli Act (IRCA), (Nov. 6, 1986) (signed by President Ronald Reagan) is a US law passed to reduce illegal immigration to the United States, which was perceived as a problem for the U.S. economy.
Reagan - teddy talked him into it and swore it would stop illegal immigration. Now teddy wants another amnesty.
Is this a joke? How many American presidents were there in 1986? Of course it's Ronald Reagan.
Ronald Reagan was the president at that point. so my guess is him.
That would have to be Ronald Regan - 1986 was during his term.
Ronald Reagan.
Who introduced and passed that law?
Democrats.
You are buying in to the whole 'divide and conquer' thing.
Do you really see any signifigant different between the parties?
Has the growth and power of the government changed at all depending on who was in office?
Have our rights not been chipped away at by both parties?
Think about it.
Oh, btw it was Reagan.
That should be an easy question: who was president in 1986. You should feel lucky, that was a gimme
Ronald Reagan
You must have still been in Mexico then. You really should have taken advantage of the amnesty THEN. You wouldn't have to ask if you had.
Ronald Reagan
To all of those who actually answered this question: The person asking a question wanted to emphasize the statement about solving illegal immigration in the future.
He is worried that politicians will lie to us again to get the "amnesty for illegals" bill passed.
Think before you post your answer.
Ronald Reagan
"nosf" here had the real right answer. I am surprised at how many people didn't REALLY understand what this questioner was getting at. He is reminding us that the previous amnesty only led us to where we are today - looking at granting yet another amnesty and to many, many more illegal immigrants than we had in 1986. Just imagine how many EVEN MORE illegal immigrants we will be looking at amnesty for in another 20 years! Just proves that we don't learn much from history, or else everyone has awfully short memories!
Reagan - except for that bone-head bill I think he was a great president. They still haven't enforced the security measures for that bill after 21 years.
If the Senate's piece of crap passes, the same thing would happen again. Only instead of 3 million illegals getting amnesty it will be 20+ million criminals getting amnesty.
