I was petitioned for an i-130 in 2001. Why is this taking so long?

I was petitioned by my half-sister and received a notice of that petition on March 9, 2001. How long is this suppose to take before they approve me for a green card? I've been in the country to 20 years. My family and I moved here from Honduras when I was only 2. I was hoping that this would account for something when speaking to a "less than helpful" attorney, but no., it doesn't.

I've been to this website: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/process...

Which shows that they are currently on April 30, 2001. So, that should mean that I'll probably be hearing from them pretty soon, right?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:
I-130 Petition for Alien Relative U.S. citizen filing for a brother or sister April 30, 2001

You are supposed to call the immigration office if it takes longer than the cate listed. they have an 800 number. You want to make sure they have your current address.

1-800-375-5283

Be sure to write down the names of the officers helping you can you can talk to them again, and write down notes.
Half-sister/brother is the last category on the list! But you should call them! It took me about 2 years! 6 years is kind of long.
