What do I do, if I am a US citizen who got married in the US, but want to move to Canada?
Answer:
You will not lose US citizenship simply for moving to Canada, unless you take steps to affirmatively revoke it. Also, if you move to Canada, your fiance/spouse will no longer be eligible for a K-1. You actually need to be in the U.S. I would suggest that you bypass US immigration all together and just move together directly to Canada.
If you want to come back to the US, it's actually easier to get your spouse a green card if you have been married outside the country for at least a few years. You can come back together, and then apply for his green card.
You could start you search for information on the immigration website for Canada:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.html...
You will not lose your citizenship by moving to Canada, nor will you be required to do anything to move back to the US if and when you choose. You will have to file for you husband, just as he will have to file for you to go to Canada.
Hope this helps.
