I have friends who were church refugees from Laos in the 1980's. We grew up with that family. They learned English first and the kids all studied and got good grades. I was jealous but the dude actually helped me get through math.
After the first 5 years of coming to America, the whole family of them became CITIZENS. Now grown, one is an engineer, one's a nurse and the younger chick could be a model, but she's in college in NYC.
Their widow single mom works in a factory and bought her first house! No money goes back to Laos. Sure she speaks it but was never much formally taught Laotian to read or write it. She's an American first. She doesn't look back. Nothing else matters. Nothing else should.

Don't care where they are from - just as long as they are from there and in here LEGALLY.
If the are ILLEGAL, I don't care if they have the highest IQ on record and can manufacture 12 cars in 20 minutes by themselves. If they don't have the papers, they don't stay.
As long as they learn the language if I have to talk to them. And they are legal.
There's immigrants who benefit this country whether they come from Nigeria or Norway. Legal or illegal. Just like there are legal citizens who benefit this country and those who just take a toll on society.
Yes, I find orientals to be very much that why. I must also say that I have had great experience with Filipinos as co-workers and employees.
No most east asians are rude, don't assimilate to society and espesially the children of immigrants from east asia have the idea that America owes them something ......... The exception to the rule are Japanese folks.
