What are the advantages/disadvantages (if any) of H-1B visa over L-1B visa?

L1b is intra company visa and not the investsment immigrant visa EB5. H1b allows you to work for different employers with a simple transfer. L1b doesnt. L1b might not be eligible for Green card where as H1b is. L2' (dependents of L1's) can get EAD where as H4 (dependents of h1b) do not have EAD or authorization to work.

It's totally two different types of visa. If you could apply for L1_B visa I would go for it because you need to be an investor and have a lot of money to start.
Disadvantages of H1B Visa:
- You need to find a company that is willing to sponsor you.
- Currently it takes forever to process.
- If you get laid off or fired you'll be out of status.
- Unless you have a lot of experience, it's not easy to get a green card. Even if you could, it takes forever. about 2-5 years
Advantages of H1B Visa:
- it doesn't cost that much compares to L1B
Disadvantages of L1B:
- You need a lot of money to be an investor. If I am not mistaken it's $250,000 or $500,000
Advantages of L1B:
- You own your own company.
- You are automatically eligible to get a green card
