It depends which path he is taking.
1- Is he getting a work visa for special trade? he was to renew his work permit for about 3 years b4 he can even applied and have a really good job where he is really needed.
2- Is he coming as ur fiance? about 6-12 months after u get married.
3- are u getting married b4 he moves here? about 6 months.
