The truth is the new laws now do not inclide any provisions to our laws. There is no country on earth proclaiming to the world if even granting the kind of Immigration reform,Mexico wants and that Mexico must be held responsible for beng in the position to turn the country around. Mexico has had hundreds of years come up with answers and fix the country so people can live there and prosper Yet ones get's the idea, Mexico shouts things in one ear and very quiet out the other. America has helped Mexico time and time again. Mexico seems to think just one more , immigration, reform allow us to show Americans what we do, a new immigration, reform will this to reform the country. Please tell me what are your thoughts on this issue

Mexico figured out their country will always be what it is now - a failure - until its leaders root out corruption and are held accountable for their performance. The current leadership can't have that, so instead they will take advantage of our fine El Presidente and use America as an economic safety valve. Mexican citizens would actually have to start begging their own government for handouts if we closed down the border.... can you imagine!
Illegal lawbreakers are criminals and should be given no quarter here.
The US government should try to enforce the laws that are already in place before they try starting new ones.

i do legal research on the side. here is the deal. we have good laws on the books now. the problem no one
a. want to enforce them.
b. we cater to much to big biz and the corporations
c. the pres especially touts guest worker prog we have one. it is abused or the biz are to cheap and to lazy to do the right thing.
for a few thousands bucks an employer can sponsor a work or use the www.doleta.gov guest worker program.
go to www.regulations.gov or www.gpoaccess.gov and see immigraton law, guest work, worker visa law.
imo time to scrap the system and start down with one simple all encompossing law. we have to many to fragemented that govt and congress do not know how bad it is!
My thoughts? Bush has traded Mexico for oil and the right of US oil companies to "develop" in Mexico. Republicans won't do a darn thing because this administration thinks corporations take priority over people. And they have taught you to hate liberals so, people haven't noticed his many negotiations. They haven't noticed his "superhighways" being built from Mexico to Canada. They also blame it on Mexico-he's negotiating this stuff-c'mon!
I think Calderon's statements to Bush that Mexico expects America to do more for Mexico pretty much sums up the feeling of entitlement there.
I can't blame him, he knows a soft touch when he sees one and HIS country benefits. OURs does not.
