Living in America?
Answer:
It depends on what kind of visa you get
I think you can stay over there aslong as your visa holds out which aint too long. maybe if u marry an american or have a useful trade to offer them. i hope im wrong cos i wana go too!
You would need to apply for a visa so that you could stay for an extended period, but so long as you are not going to work (unless you apply for a work permit) and are not going to claim benefits, have enough money to support yourself whilst out there etc. you should be fine.
No. It depends upon your visa. You can do a gap year. Some people stay in America for only 1 month then go back home. It all depends upon your visa.
or you do what the Mexicans do, they stay for years until they get deport or become citizens.
Hi!
You can stay for up to 90 days at a time without a visa (if you are from the UK which I assume you are).
If you want to stay longer, you must apply for a visa. I suggest that you go through a student travel program (i.e. camp america,, etc). This is because it is very hard for a young person to get a 6 month travel visa. When you go for the embassy interview they will automatically assume you are going there with intentions of staying - it is your responsibility to prove otherwise.
Therefore, if you are doing something 'worthwhile' whilst your out there, it will give you a leg up.
Basically your treated as guilty until proven innocent. It sucks, but trust me, having a visa denial on your passport will probably come back to haunt you in the future if you want to go to the US.
