you will need to book an appointement for an interview with the US embassy in london ( mayfair)
you will need to provide them with proof of your address and workplace along with some specific visa photos ( you can easily find places that do visa photos, look on their website they recommend some). A recommendation letter from your employer might also be a good idea!
The whole process costs around 100 pounds which are not refundable in case you do not get a visa issued as there is no guaranty from their part.
On the interview they just ask for you documentation, passport and photos and they require you to feel out a declaration form and to give fingerprints.

It does help the process if you could provide them with a rough time schedule of your visit.
