Why does mexico have their military on their southern border to keep out illegal immigrants from Guatemala?

Because in Mexico it is illegal to cross the boarder without permission. Just like in Mexico it is illegal to cross the boarder into the United States without permission. Do you really think the Mexican government thinks it is OK that so many of their citizens are leaving for the US? Get a clue.

To stop them from continuing their journey to America. . .You should be grateful for that, instead of trying to make some other point (which i know has to do with the fact that America doesn't have their military on the border)
Mexico does not want poor illegal immigrants from Guatemala! They already have far too many poor people to deal with. They see America as the solution to their problems. If they can send their poor to America then that's one less problem Mexico has to deal with.
Because they believe they are better than us and need to protect their country from undesirables.

They must be racists! Those Guatemalans are all poor and simply want a better life. The mexican people should not only welcome them in but be thankful for them because i'm sure they only want to do the jobs that mexicans wont do. They should also give those Guatamalans college educations,free healthcare and home loans.
It's their pathetic double standard. They have a false sense of entitlement.

The Mexican government has no trouble speaking out of both sides of its mouth. If the US applied the "Mexican" rules to its own southern border, the Mexicans would immediately allow the Guatemalans much easier access to Mexico. Otherwise their racist attitudes will prevail, as they always have.
Because mexico only wants mexicans to imigrate to the united states. Besides, mexico is one of the latin american countries who think they are as good as the US, but i doubt it. By the way, most of central america hates mexicans because of their extreme patratism (like the 'Viva Mexico Cabrones' chant or whatever) and most of them are racist. and also because of the boarder laws
