US Citizenship?

I am 17 years old and want to apply for citizenship. both me and my parents hold green cards. i checked the immigration website and it said that you have to be 18 to apply. does this mean that my parents have to become citizen first and then me? or can i apply right now as a minor?

Answer:
I think if your parents become citizens before you are 18 you can get 'derivitive citizenship' actually. Check at uscis.gov Generally you need to hold a green card for 5 years to apply.
I think that all of you apply at one time since you are a minor, if that is what they want. If not, just wait or call immigration and ask.
Steven, here is a link to answers most of your questions. You can wait till your 18 if your parents do not want to become US citizens or now if all of you qualify to apply. **
Your daddy needs to sponsor you,
you are legally a child in USA
