What do you have to do to become a citizen in a country you are not from?

First you need to find out what the immigration laws are.
well most people have to learn how to speak the language and be able to know the rules and stuff.
it all depends on the country.
Contact that country embassy first and then take it from there

In japan they don't allow dual citizenship :( and you need to know how to speak, read and write japanese before becoming a citizen...and live there for a few years...
