What do you think of my plan of controlling the border?
Dig an 8 foot trench along the whole border. Cement it good and thick. Put up a 10 foor chain link fence that is covered in razor wire up and down both sides. Once it is all finished....fill the trench with water. If they try to dig a tunnel (if they can get through the cement, they'll drown) and the razor wire fence would slice them to pieces. And then just station guard towers in certain locations.
Just my idea. Not that it'll ever happen but I just wanted to get it out. I feel better. Thanks MyTend.....for letting me vent my idea!!!
Answer:
In all honesty if we wanted get extreme we could just put a 100 foot band of gravel from one end of the border to the other and create a mine field. We could then put up a sign in both English and Spanish detailing the danger. We could take the border guards and redeploy them to the official points of entry and take down the water and food stations we have been forced to distribute throughout the border areas.
That will never happen either. Listen I have nothing against the Mexicans. I like going to Mexico I like the people. I just think they have some nerve demanding entry to and benefits from the US in light of the fact that they sneak into the country illegally.
Sounds like a great idea.. super expensive and totally unreasonable, but I like it!!
It wont work, smugglers are always one step ahead of government and in most cases have better high tech sophisticated products and an unlimited supply of money.
do you need armed guards with rifles too??
if so, I'd bet ACLU will be the first one to sue.
Good idea but it would be much less costly to put our military on our border, armed with orders to shoot on sight - no exceptions...
Good plan but if you are going to vent and fantasize why not include bringing home our National Guardsmen and post them along the fence and shoot to kill anybody who comes along.
Don't forget electrified fence, motion controlled machine guns, land mines and loud repulsive music by Celine Dion.
Lets do it.
If controlling illegals coming across our borders were left up to the REAL citizens of this country, I guarantee you there'd be MILLIONS of GREAT ideas. My personal opinion on the situation is that anyone crossing our borders illegally should be shot on site. The Mexican government wouldn't hesitate at all to shoot and kill an illegal border crosser coming in to their country.
Why don't we impose huge fines on companies who hire illegals. They won't keep coming if they can't find work.
You forgot machine gun turrets.
Why don't we just build a string of Home Depots along the border and catch 'em all when they show up in the parking lot?
you forget the put the automatic machine guns with fire sensor
and landmines between wall and fence good idea I like the old charm Berlin walls version number two...
You're welcome, and don't waste your time and your 2-gram brain:
Wal Mart will find the way to bring them to USofFA.
It might have some effect but the more economical solution would be to enforce our current laws and cut off tax funded benefits for them.
This is better.
It was submitted by Daanzig;
Good idea or not?
Everyone concentrates on the problems we're having in this country lately; illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, wild animals attacking humans in Florida.
Not me. I concentrate on solutions to problems. The result is a win-win-win situation:
Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border
Use the dirt to raise the levies in New Orleans
Put the Florida alligators in the moat.
you freaking red necks
I hope you NEVER, EVER have to emigrate for ANY reason.
Why don't we take a lesson from the germans about how to solve a human trash problem?
I bet the price on zyklon B has gone down quite a bit ...
This sounds very mild to me. Are you a closet liberal trying to upset me???
Perhaps stingrays and jellyfish in the water and 50,000 volts on the fence. Couple that with guard towers every 200 meters with expert marksmen who have orders to shoot. Now that might make me a bit more willing to sign on to your plan.
