Machine readable visas to the US?

I have just been issued a machine readable M-1 visa to the US for my coming studies. The US websites stating the arrival procedures that I should expect mention that "the consular officer will seal your immigration documents in an envelope and attach it to your passport", but there is no envelope attached to my passport, just the MRV stuck on a passport page.

Should I be concerned?

You should have been given an original I-20 in an envelope to present to the CBP officer when you seek entry into the US with your passport and visa. The I-20 does not necessarily have to be stapled to your passport, but you are required to have it.
