Answer:
I have heard this story time and time again. Sorry for your situation.

The only solution I see, for getting your residency here in the US would be marriage to a US citizen. Because your parents are not US citizens you are NOT an immediate relative. Which is why you are now a category 2a if your under 21 yrs old or 2b if your over 21 yrs old. And the day you turned 18 you started accruing UNLAWFUL presence if you did not have a valid I-94 card. So, if 180 days have past since your 18th birthday you now have a 3 year bar if it's been a year you now have a 10 year bar if you leave the US.

Not only that but you will have to file a waiver for unlawful presence IF you decide to go back to your home country and the only way to get the waiver approved is if you can prove extreme hardship to your parents if you were not allowed to return to the US.

Sorry I don't see any other way but marriage. I have to tell you that I DO NOT agree with fraudulent marriages so don't risk it by marrying for green card purposes.

Edit: Unfortunately once your parents become US citizens you will be considered category 1 or 3 if you get married. You would be an adult child of US citizen. PLEASE contact your senators and urge them to support an favorable immigration reform so that people like don't have to leave the US.
they need to go home and make there country a better place to live instead suck off of us
You need to be talking to an attorney. This simply isn't the kind of forum for a question like this. Sorry!
I've heard about this all too often about them "losing" paperwork and fees as well.My first suggestion to you is to hire an attorney ASAP.Also, when paying any type of fee, make sure it's a postal money order. You will be able to track it's whereabouts or if it was cashed or not online.
the lawyers informed you right, there is really nothing you can do other than to marry a u.s. citizen.
Go back to your country, and apply for a legal immigration there. Your parents might not mind their illegal status, but you have your future ahead of you. Don't mess it up with a fraud marriage or trying to fight against the law and hope they will look favorably at you for it.
Do it the legal way, and you might find alot of help.
