I'm against this on so many levels that I can't begin to name them all. I'm especially mad that our Congress believes they can sell US citizenship to a bunch of lawbreakers for $5000 and a few English lessons. This is an issue that transcends party lines. I'm a moderate (read that pro-choice) Republican who may switch back to being an Independent because of this and I know several far left (and I mean FAR left) Democrats who are just as angry.
As for the jobs, you're right, they aren't jobs Americans won't do, they won't do them for what the employer is willing to pay. And don't anyone give me that crap about lettuce being $10 a head. You are paying that much now, $1.50 at the store and $8.50 in health care, education, law enforcement, etc. for the illegals.

Against. As Sessions (with whom I do NOT always agree) said, the enforcement provisions have exceptions and undermining provisions throughout in a way that can only be deliberate. Plus it would give a 'sense of congress' to 'accelerate spp' which I consider to be a treaty unconstitutionally entered into by our President, and which has NOT been brought to congress or debated by congress, at all. I don't want to give it color of legality.
