Ron Paul is the only true American running and the rest are jokes, but Fred Thompson is more likely of a person to be President.
I agree with your democrat statement, that the congress has done nothing and didn't keep a single promise yet.
In terms of republican in the 08 election, I suggest listening to what the candidates have to say. Remember, you are going to get a whole new administration and if there is a republican that expresses your views better than the current one, then saying they are all the same is shortsided.

You sound surprised that the Dems didn't fulfill their campaign promises. They only intend on going for the big prizes and don't care about troops or you. They want to grow a majority, and get the presidency so they can change the supreme court and grow a welfare slave state which owes them.

You republicans voted in Bush, who has smeared America's name in the UN and all over the world, made decisions that will and have killed thousands of people, who is blatantly racist, homophobic, and sexist. He has tried to take away the rights of women, and prevent people from getting married, he ignored Katrina, and only sent in help after the dead lined the streets. He is the closest thing to hitler the world has seen in a long time- Sadam hussein is nothing compared to him. Go Hillary, 2008!

I will do the following immediately upon taking the oath of office:
1) Deport ALL illegal immigrants and secure the nations borders.
2) Stop making fuel out of food. For now only.
3) Make welfare mothers go to work. 1 year to train and find a job. End assistance after 18 months.
4) Legalize marijuana and release all persons from probation, parole, and in prison that were convicted on pot charges.
5) Make homosexuality a crime if they attempt to marry or have children.
6) Every death row inmate will have their dentence carried out within 30 days, no more appeals at other citizens expense.
7) Immediately put all convicted child molesters to death.
8) Separate church and state for good.
9) Mandate prison time for those using political correctness.
I'm not sure yet. I'm getting past this bill first. We need a 'populist' party but don't have one. I'll have to look at Fred Thompson but I'm afraid he just is a thicker crust on the same problem.
I still want to dig up what is left of Teddy Roosevelt, clone him, and draft the clone for President.
