Please help! is there anyone, who got work permit while you waiting for green card?

How did you get social security? How long is it take? mine A number is updatedso i am going to get info pass ask imm.please tell ur experience.

after you file usually you will get an interview appointment.after that appointment they will let you know if you are approved.then it takes aprox 3 months to get work permit.once you have that you need to apply at social security.they will issue you a social security card that says valid for work only. after that you should recieve your permanent resident card. once you wait aprox 2 yrs after that you need to apply to remove conditions to get green card
Do you mean a social security card? Get your work permit then go to a Social Security Administration office and apply. You might be surprised at how easy it is if you have the right paperwork. I had mine less than 20 minutes after walking in the door of the SSA office.
