Why is the left dishonestly characterizing a border fence as East German like?

The more time I spend in the Politics section of mytend.coms, the more I am troubled by the mindset of Liberals. I was just watching the video cited below of Liberals reacting to hard proof that Michael Moore grossly distorts the truth. Were these people upset at being conned? Did they seeth with anger and resentment for having been taken for a fool by the bloated gasbag director? No. Their attitude was, well. it doesn't matter if it's all really true or not. He's saying things that have to be said.
Do you see? Liberals really don't care if it is fact or fiction. In their minds, you can just make things up if it serves a "good" purpose. Therefore, characterizing the border fence like some East German wall designed to lock up the slaves of Communism presents no ethical problems to Liberals.
This isn't even going to be some contiguous fence. Some areas will be monitored by drones, other areas by cameras, etc. Obviously, if at least 12 million Mexicans, the equivalent of the entire population of the Czech Republic and Slovakia combined, have been able to come to the U.S., our national sovereignty is at stake. The most basic definition of a sovereign state is a nation that has control of its borders.

Ha...I've often wondered why the Mexican people don't build a big fence on their Northern border. It would do us a real favor.
Are you sure of that? Why do we have yellow school busses when there's public transportation available? (Hint, suburbs. Maybe Mexico is getting us to build their fence for them.)

But seriously, a 2000 mile fence from San Diego to Brownsville will never be built. It's not like putting a fence up in your back yard.
Your distinction is fuzzy. In or out, it is based out of fear and aims at control of one population by another. There are better possible solutions.
They don't expect people to know history.

What the radical, right-winged, pro-fence people forget, is that a fence, intended to keep people out, also keeps people in.
Wasn't it just a few years ago that Mr. reagan, the right's big super hero, made a big photo-op statement something to the affect of "Mr. Gorbachov, I dare you to tear down this wall?"
And here the pro-wall (fence) people never learned their lesson, and this soon, after reagan's biggest moment, are at it again!

They want to import an underclass that depends on state sponsored benefits and services and who will vote for them.
The east germans used the fence to keep their subjects in and under control, that is what socialist do, we are going to use the fence to concentrate traffic so it is more economical to control entry and catch illegals.

They dishonestly characterize everything. It is all about appearances and spin and perception. It most certainly is not about doing what the people want, doing what the constitution says or doing the right thing.
