When you get citizenship in another country do you get new credit?

I had a coworker that was a US citizen and applied for Canadian citizenship. She would often talk about how incredibly difficult it was. It was a process that required multiple interviews over a process of months that she never ended up completing. Her fiance left her, and she moved back to the United States. This was about a decade ago, but I doubt that much has changed.
