Answer:
It is all part of the grand plan for the SPP &Nau.
The political elites will create jobs in Mexico while eliminating American jobs. The grand plan has the AMERICAN taxpayers funding the infrastructure required to use Mexico as a port of entry. Ships will dock in Mexico, unload on to Mexican trucks, who will then deliver to major importers..like Wal-Mart.
This puts American dock workers and truckers out of a job.
People that work in support of those industries are also out of a job. America, without it's middle class, becomes just another third world country, We wil have the very rich and the very poor.
no
couldn't get to the site
it was blocked(for me )
I think America should welcome anyone. We already have different races, cultures, and opinions. Heck,we're the melting pot of the world. BUT,that bill does seem a little crazy.
yes ,,,but have you heard what happened to paris H today oh my
gosh its terrible i tell ya terrible
You should read more about the SP&P which is what this is a part of and its already in the works. This will make North America one country by 2010.
American truck drivers can deliver anywhere in canada, and canadian truck drivers can deliver anywhere in the US
Yeah I 've heard about it and it is stupid to allow them in especially if they aren't bound to a search how many more illegal are they going to bring in here for one and what else will the be able to sneak in for two we should rethink this although seeing our governments priorities it won't be done
I unfortunately heard about it a while ago
and it is ridiculous..
I feel that the bill is a step in the RIGHT direction.

I DO NOT agree with Mexicans having free reign to the USA and to be able to go anywhere they want to without being safe...this means having up-keep on their trucks, NO DRUNK DRIVING, and to be able to speak and read ENGLISH.
actually the bill in the story you linked is a bill to put additional requirements on the bill that would allow truck drivers from mexico to deliver in the USA.

Congress is worried that since these trucks are from mexico we dont know what kind of safety standards the trucks meet, what kind of training the driver has, if they are licensed insured etc... they want to take a better look at it.

The bill in the story is a good thing. Because its a measure of caution toward another bill.
Old news.been around for months.

Do you realize that Mexican truck drivers have been driving and delivering over the borders for about 50 years. There is a mileage limit - I think it is 100 miles...this bill would open up the whole country.

So what's the big deal? Our jobs are all being outsourced to foreign countries - why not truck drivers too.
This is just one more thing that this government and Congress
are doing that needs to be brought to a screeching halt
Well, it is a bit outdated, about two months, but it was an eye opening piece. I can't imagine what the roads would be like with out of country drivers, zipping around at eighty miles an hour. Its already dangerous enough with some of the idiots out there right now. besides, i think that with another country's trucking fleet on our roads, fuel prices will go up, truck stops would be overcrowded, and rest stops will be full all the time. Then, common American citizens would be put at greater risk. Are these truckers going to pay road use taxes? Will they be required to buy permits? I don't like the fact that there are so many unanswered questions.
To me, it sounds like the whole Illegal immigrant thing stems from this NAFTA deal that Clinton signed us on to. I think that decisions of that magnitude, that have such an impact on the Citizens of THE UNITED STATES, should put put to a VOTE by THE CITIZENS of THE UNITED STATES. Not a decision to be made merely by CONGRESS, who do not represent the CITIZENS, but do represent BIG BUSINESS !! IT is us, the CITIZENS, who will be placed at the greatest risk.
I do not feel sorry for your red neck attitude, but it is not a bill stupid, it is NAFTA, you ignorant scum bag.
While there are a few drivers from Mexico that can drive in the States, almost all of the rest cannot. Don't worry too much about it anyway. They get paid half what American drivers get, and wouldn't be able to afford daily expenses and meals in this country. They would eventually give up on the idea. Also, their equipment does not meet DOT standards, and they are currently blocked.
