Illegal immigrants will soon have little choice but to either return home of their own free will or be deported. UK.gov will soon be issuing ID Cards in UK. In spite of the fact that the Tories say they will not go down this route, they will quickly find that they will have little choice in the matter.
The people of UK demand that all illegal immigrants are returned to their country of origin. I pay no attention to the liberal bleeding hearts. Get rid of all illegals now or face the consequences when the economy begins to collapse, as it might do, as a result of the fall in share values around the globe.
Sam S is correct. An illegal immigrant is already a criminal just for being here in UK - round them up now and deport every last one of them. They're already committing crimes - rape, murder, drugs, etc.

It is just another set of placatory words to feed the embattled public. What will happen is that the judges will allow them benefits under the human right legislation. Then there is the question of all the EC members flocking here which are not illegal. They are causing mayhem in all ways, from crime to cowboy workers. There are no real controls anymore and we are allowing the EC to dictate the way in which we run our immigration services.

Lets just send them back to their home countries rather than being the bunch of softies we have been for too damn long!! We get stung enough on tax as it is without it going to illegal people who want an easy ride. The reason why we have so many is because we weren't tough enough in the first place

Since 1929 it has been a Federal law that to enter into the United States without proper documentation is a"Federal crime" you do not reward people for criminal behavior.....force them into crime ?

There is no such thing as an illegal immigrant - the word immigrant implies a legal status. Its like saying someone is an illegal man - not possible.
There are, however, failed asylum seekers and they do not have recourse to publc funds. If they cannot get support from friends or charities like mine, they go underground, take on other identities and disappear into the big cities, working and surviving as bewst they can.
There is a school of thought which says that if failed asylum seekers were given state support until they are removed, they would have more reason to stay in touch with the authorities and not be so inclined to disappear.
