I don't care one way or the other. The people of CA have let it get to the point that it is. I say they are getting what they deserve.
No - we don't owe them anything.. Why give up part of the land that we have founded and invested in? Doesn't make sense.
Take away the benefits, secure our borders, stop hiring them - we'll start to see a change in the amount of illegals here.

Besides, only 20.2% of CA is Mexican immigrants, as opposed to 25.1% of Texas, 22% of Illinois, and 20.8% of Colorado. By your logic we should give them Texas. I'd support that.

Why would you think giving it to Mexico would solve the problem - think about it - it would make it worse. So there's a lot of Mexicans here - and? Handing it over defeats the purpose and trust me, you wouldn't want the Mex govt taking over! If that were the case, you'd be running across the border.
If we did, in two years it'd have the same damn failed economy that the "Hispanic" culture has created in the rest of Mexico. And instead of sneaking into California to pick grapes, they'd be sneaking into Oregon and Idaho.

Nope...we should re-introduce the Mexicans...the illegal ones that is to their own land. Fence off the entire border. Yeah they should. I mean, you are right. It is almost all Mexicans here and the neighborhood I live in is almost just like the town I left in Mexico.
Thats what I thought should be done. One problem though, with out us other nationalities they would be nothing and it would just be upper mexico. Land is land, they cant do anything with the land without everything that was created by Americans and every other culture who immigrated here. If we give them California, we take everything we built along with us. That means goodbye hollywood, goodbye rich lazy people who dont mow their own lawns. It would be nothing.
Id love this plan though, if it meant that they stay the hell away from me and not force their damn culture and ways down our throat. But it wouldnt happen.

Judging by California's NIMBY attitude towards the generation of electric power and the way they obtain drinking water, I would expect them to resettle all their Mexicans to another state like Canada did to the Cajuns and the southeastern US did to the Indians. Sort of like a reverse Okie migration or Trail of Tears.
I think you meant to say give it "back" to Mexico. The city of Los Angeles alone has been populated by mexicans since the 1700's. Even when the decision was made in 1850 to admit California to the union it populated by mostly mexicans. I don't understand why people act shocked about the number of people who are of mexican decent living in a state that used to be Mexico.
