What's the deal with immigration?
What's going on?
Answer:
Our country is falling to its knees over illegal immigration and we're ALL suffering the consequences of letting everyone come into our country and work without making them accountable for anything! We just need to be more strict on illegal immigration. If we do the following, the situation will be remedied:
1. Impose HEAVY fines on companies found to be employing illegal immigrants.
2. NO green card = NO enrollment in schools or daycares. (Otherwise, we have tons of children in our elementary schools who speak NO English, which slows down the progress of the entire class!)
3. NO green card = NO housing. Impose penalities on those who rent apartments/housing to illegals.
4. NO green card = NO federal funding of ANY kind, including welfare.
If a child is brought here illegally (and therefore through no fault of their own), naturalization should be required before admission into any college is considered.
I'm a liberal person and until the last few years, didn't harbor an ill feeling towards any race. Now that this issue is destroying my country, I don't care how "racist" I sound. I want it rectified. ALL of our ancestors paid too heavy a price for our country to let it go to pieces before our very eyes!

now that they need an issue to get people really riled up so that no one notices what they are doing (war,economy etc).they parade it out with a dog and pony show
the bill would require that the people who are here illegaly be sent home and pay fines but they might change it (check yahoo news) where they can stay here

What I think they should do is...since they came here illegaly. they'll have to go back where they originally came from and process their papers. Im an immigrant and it took me 14 months to get here in the US. So much for this "obeying the damn law" when they let this illegal aliens stay here and give them a chance to process their papers! Hell they need to go back and do the right thing!
Many politicians want to enact laws that would require anyone who is not a U.S. citizen to be deported back to their country of origin. Since that girl was born in the U.S., she is a citizen automatically and faces no threat of deportation. I for one don't understand why people complain about this so much. If there not a citizen then why don't they just become one? If the government made citizenship easier to get then everyone would be alot happier.
No hard feelings..if the Parents are illegal immigrants then their children born in USA are also illegal immigrants.. what is the differences? because their children born in USA land?
These illegal immigrants just being rabbit in america.. Are they doing these in purpose to use their children as their weapon because their babies are american citizen by birth?

Don't know, need more facts
Illegals break up their own families when they choose to come here illegally. The girl who was born here is illegal too. I'm tired of the lies regarding the 14Th Amendment. The 14Th Amendment was about allowing former slaves, and their children born in America to become automatic U.S. citizens. And the 15Th Amendment backs that up with next allowing the slaves to then be a part of the voting process in America.
People really need to learn to read more of the Constitution other than just the 14Th Amendment to justify who is and who isn't an American citizen automatically. The 14Th and the 15Th Amendments go together, and are not and never were separate from one another.
Apparently, her parents are here illegally, but she was born here, so she's automatically a citizen.
Most countries around the world don't allow that; for example, I know some Africans (a married couple; the man is from Ghana, the woman is from Nigeria) living in Italy who have children who don't have any citizenship at all.
If both of the parents are illegal immigrants, then the child shouldn't be a us citizen. That way, it will discourage people to come to the usa illegally if they know their children will not ever have a good job.
