Should I excuse illegal immigrants because I'm Mexican-American?
Answer:
The illegals and their sympathizers are racists...that's why they play the race card..that's all they have to play with. Otherwise they don't have any defense at all. You and your parents rock!
As an American you understand that illegals come in many colors and flavors and to just target one particular group is doing a major disservice to all Americans and letting a whole lot of people off the hook.
Thank you. Thanks to your folks for doing it the right way.
That's all.
We are very proud to have you and your family as fellow Americans
We will feel the same about all that enter the USA legally
You are a legal citizen, as you said, your parents did it the right way. I would think you would be more against the illegal aliens coming into this country than for them, simply because of you know what is right and wrong.
Because they are racists. They think you should support them based on skin color. I say why would you support people who break the law. No morals those people.
No, but if you don't, you need to understand that you will be in a very tiny minority.
Yes you should because if you are from Mexico then you know how bad it is for Mexicans and you should understand why we come illegally.
You should stand on the side of your people, and if you don't then you are a traitor to your people.
OF COURSE NOT!! now you need to understand that taxes pay for those people and what I personally think that people that DO NOT work should not get any part of the taxes that people work for it is absolutley absurd! and you know what if they want to live here they should pay for themselves and if they cant they should leave! I am not saying that accepting immigration is wrong...because you are not an american if you do not accept it but if you illegally excuse that... it is absurd!
no, u cannot excuse them just because u are from the same race. ur parents did it the right way and in time when u will have ur own kids, u would be proud too in showing them that achieving the american dream doesnt have to involve breaking the law. cheers to your parents for being a great example to all the immigrants!
Oh, I happen to love people who think like you. I wish we didn't use terms like: Mexican-American, black-American, etc... My ancestors are from Germany/France and I would NEVER think to say "I'm German-American, because the fact is, if we are legal citizens of the United States, then we are Americans First! And that is exactly what immigrants do and say when they go through the process and legalization is to promise that their sovereignty and allegiance is to AMERICA! Not from their Mother lands, oh no, not a chance. And that is not saying at all, that you cannot still EMBRACE your heritage and customs, etc... but you cannot serve two allegiances to two different countries. Boo to the guy who said you were a traitor. Absolutely untrue! Feel proud of yourself and your family, for myself and many others applaud and support your integrity.
Ok I just changed my view that all mexicans are for illegal immigration. thank you
No you should not. I think it's great that you are speaking out about this and sharing your story. We often hear all these bogus excuses of why mexicans can't come here legally when you are obvious proof that they can.
