Will it be easier to get my husband's papers now that we are expecting a baby?

I would like to make him a citizen, like me. He came here from Mexico in 1986/87, when he was 8. He does have a valid social security number, and has been paying and receiving his taxes for years. He had a work authorization card that he let expire, unfortunately. We are legally married, for almost 4 years now, but that never made any difference when we tried to get him his papers. It was still impossible. But I've heard that with a child...

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

Answer:
no. process is still the same, policy does not change because a baby is born. However go for the interview with the child birth certificate as evidence of a real marriage.
No.They will still take their sweet time like they do with everybody else.It will, however, help you in your interview.
YOU cannot make him a citizen, unless your name is Uncle Sam.
I hate to tell you this but the answer to your question is NO. He must go throught the long process as usual.
Sorry he will have to reapply but since he has broken the law, he will have to leave...maybe you could go with him and learn a new culture!
Good luck
quote: "He does have a valid social security number, and has been paying and receiving his taxes for years" Thats like saying you killed a bunch of people but at least you paid to send flowers to their funerals, he is still breaking the law regardless.
you should keep on trying. My aunt is trying to get her citizenship too. You should also actively campaign against illegal immigration because the huge influx of illegal aliens is preventing the legal immigrant's chances to become citizens.
