I live in El Paso and frankly, I wish more would make an effort to speak English.I run accross many Spanish speakers and its very frustrating, since my Spanish is weak to try and communicate with them.Nonetheless, I make an effort.

well i am mexican also but i dont live in mexico i live in the u.s. and the native tounge is english so my be that y i speak english. dont get me wrong i also speak spanish amigo. all i am saying if u go to italy u need to speak italian, so if u want to live in the u.s. u speak english. get with the program speak the language

what kind of question is this?, DOH!, If I go to mexico, spain or any other country with a foreign language, what language am I supposed to learn to communicate?. So, how about if your going to live in the United States, learn English or your welcome to move elsewhere.
How come you wrote this in English? I am trying to work on my Spanish; I can get a higher paying job being Bilingual. There is not a law saying that you have to learn English but why not try.

Dont learn English. Then you will stay in low paying jobs and have a harder time in life. You certainly get around if you have been in all those places. The Latin American children in my area go to public schools and we teach them English. You do not speak for all Latin Americans.
