Why is everyone so happy about the Immigration reform bill dying??
This is you guys' definition of victory? Kind of makes you wonder why things are so bad nowadays. . . .

Because they are racist republicans who don't like the change that Latinos are bringing to the US.
Because the bill would have cleared them of all crimes they committed while illegal.
Here is a paragraph from the bill:
"(Sec. 614) Amends the Social Security Act to exempt blue card aliens from prosecution for social security-related identity or payment false statements if such conduct occurred prior to the granting of blue card status. Makes such provision effective on the first day of the seventh month that begins after the date of enactment of this Act."
Do YOU think that's fair? That crime would be punishable with 5 years in prison for a citizen. Plus, here is another bill that also grants amnesty:

I don't think we should send them back to Mexico. I think we should let them get jobs here. But pardoning them for crimes they comitted is unacceptable.
Because it was an Amnesty bill, the only bill I will support will deport all illegal immigrants from this country ASAP.
12 million CRIMNALS were going to be FREE! What do you think about? What about giving terrorists or killers a free pass too?

If that bill is your definition of a victory then I'm even happier about it failing.
The fence would have never been built, gang members would have been allowed to stay and the cost would have been 2.5 trillion dollars JUST for the 7-9 million that they estimate would stay.
No one ever figured out all the OTHER costs of this bill.
It doubled the regular immigration rate.
It allowed about 900,000 daisy chained relatives of immigrants.
It supplied taxpayer funded lawyers to all who would be deported.
It allowed criminals to stay if by leaving it created hardships.
It did not require to have enforcement in place only a statment that they tried.
There was absolutely nothing GOOD about that bill.
Enforcement first then illegals will leave at their own expense and the taxpayers will save billions of dollars a year.
You know what? If the idiots on capitol hill would get off their butts and enforce the current immigration laws and build the fence we wouldn't be having this discussion now would we! Maybe THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT needs to start stepping up or have some serious consequences put on them for this. After all this is really their problem.
Because that will mean 20 million + criminals from becoming US citizens...that means that we will still be able to deport the criminals back to their country of origin.
It means that we want our CURRENT laws enforced..
It also means that the Tech jobs are currently safe here in the USA...which they were trying to get rid of by giving it to people with visas..
It means that the Americans spoke and Congress listened.
I'm happy it's dead because the bill did not have a provision to secure the border-they have to start from scratch-so hopefully they will secure the border. Plus if the invaders were made legal it would cost us tax payers billions more. Why reward them for breaking the law? Now if we did build a wall-it would be so ironic if the workers were illegal immigrants.

Because I don't want 12,000,000 illegals sucking the money

how many of these illegals would be granted SSI benefits
when they retire, how many of them will be collecting welfare,
free medical and prescription drugs, free housing, food stamps
while all of that money is coming from the tax payers.

The only thing in your question that I see as a good question
is WHERE is the fence, it has been funded but the Congress
has delayed putting it up to use as ammunition against us
so they can mention in their stupid immigration (amnesty)
bill in an attempt to gain our support. B.S. build that fence
and do it now.
When the illegals start to demonstrate against us in the
streets we need to pull up the buses and throw their butts
in to it and drive their illegal azzes back to the border and
pitch them back to the other side.
Completed victory, no, we have much more to do like
voting out the rotten bastards that voted for this thing
in the first place.
People are happy because even though we have a hard battle to secure are borders, at least we didn't just reward everyone here already for breaking the law. That would have been a slap in the face to all those hard working border patrol agents
