Can Illegal immigrants work at McDonalds?

I can not say that McDonald's has hired illegals immigrants but I know of major chain restaurants that do. Like the previous two answers I am sure that they had fake green cards or even fake social security numbers (believe me, as a former payroll clerk I have seem some pretty interesting looking s.s. cards.) I dated a guy that was illegal for awhile, and he worked as a MANAGER for a chain fastfood restaurant.
I don't have sources to show, just personal experience.
CAN they? no. DO they? yes they do. i work with young people, and i know that 3 of them worked at mcdonalds and they were all illegal.
now...just so i don't get tracked down by mcdonalds...i'll give this small print statement. these people did have false documents. i suppose if you wanted to turn a blind eye, you could claim these people appeared to be legal.
Many of these people you refer to {at least in TX} have FAKE green cards so businesses hire them under the assumption they are legal. I now live in the north and recently a group of Hispanics were picked up out at a potato farm employed by a farmer who did not know how to identify a fake green card/work visa and more often then not that's the case.
I have noticed this as well, and while I have nothing against hispanics, I hate bad customer service, and that is what I now get. If I ever have a complaint, special order, or anything like that, the language barrier really shows. I can never get what I want, and it has caused my fast food consumption to decline GREATLY(which is good for me, I guess).
