Americans, how do you feel about illegals coming into your country?
Answer:
Educate myself more with more degrees or masters. Either way, they can't touch me nor be able to compete with me once they turn legal. That's what I'm gonna do.
In the end, they still at the bottom and i'm still on top of the chain. End of story.
I am opposed to illegals coming into the US. I have already written to my elected officials. One is Arlen Specter. Need I say more?
I just love illegals coming here and ruining Los Angeles, where I was born and raised. I love not being able to walk down the street for fear of hispanic gang members robbing me. I really enjoyed being robbed at gunpoint by two illegal aliens. I love living in what feels like Mexico. NOT!

This forum does not accurately represent the American perspective, but rather pockets of radical opposition to comprehensive reform. They put a strain on the health care system (because they don't pay) and that hurts legal residents.
I know in some states illegal aliens qualify for welfare, food stamps, and in-state college tuition (which allows them to get scholarships) I don't believe the last one is very fair to college students that struggle to get financial aid.
If we indeed did need this cheap labor to make the country stronger & give Americans a better life, I'd support more immigration from south of the border and try to make it legal.
However, multi national corporations are using not only illegal labor but the so called H1B visa to lower wages of America's wage earners.
Recent data indicates that the Construction & Service industries have had steadily declining wages for the past 6 yrs. The same survey indicated that legally imported workers hired via the H1B visa (high skilled jobs that qualified Americans cannot be found to fill) are typically paid 75 to 80% of the going wage for that job. What we have here is simply a scheme to lower the wages paid to wage earners by increasing the labor supply & that is especially true in the medical & high Tech fields.
i think this problem needs to be solve, and people like the first person who wrote are sure doing that by making this reform bill come to affect. there is no way you can deport them.
other thing, I don't think we can do anything, because look at the war, almost everyone in the US and other countries wants us out, are we? no.

I truly believe that legal immigrants enrich our society, but I'm totally opposed to *illegal* immigrants. So, I wrote to my respresentatives to let them know what I think about the fact that they are selling my country to outsiders.
