My friend is working in AOL(AMERICA ONLINE)-US Process in BangaloreHe previously worked in AOL-UK Process in Bangalore.He has more than 11/2 yrs of experience in the call centre industry.He now wants to apply for a job in the same AOL-UK process in the UK.Would he able to get a work permit to the UK?His educational qualifications is just a +2 pass(or Higher secondary or II Puc).Would applying to the UK headquarters help?He is an Indian.Is it going to be too tough?How is the pay package for a call centre worker in the UK?Can he send back fat cheques back to India?How can we get his present company to recommend him?He has a big advantage-He's worked for the UK process for a year.
Answer:
To qualify for a Work Permit he would need to have either a UK equivalent degree level qualification; or a Higher National Diploma (HND) level qualification relevant to the post; or a HND level qualification not relevant, but with 1 years full time work experience; or lastly 3 years full time work experience relevant to the job.
He would secondly need a UK employer willing to sponsor him. So he would need a job offer before he can apply for a Work Permit.
