As Americans, which scenario do you prefer?

I have come into your country illegally. But I am poor and tired, and need your help. I have a family to take care of, and can get no help from my government. Forgive me for coming here the wrong way, but I could not wait. My wife, children and elderly parents were suffering. I love this country and although my homeland will always be in my heart, I consider America my new home, and will do whatever I have to do to make you see that I really want to be a part of your nation. I want to learn English, I want to vote someday, I want my family to have a better life. Thank you.
Or: This was my land before it was yours, I'll take what I want.
You people owe me. I will not learn your language. Why should I? I will steal anothers identity if necessary. I have more rights than you. The white man soon will be extinct. I will raise my countries flag over yours. You have no choice.

Answer:
"will do whatever I have to do to make you see that I really want to be a part of your nation"

coming here legally would be a good start
I like the first one lol.
the first one is better

that is how i see most illegal immigrants as

the second one is a radical view that most americans judge illegal immigrants by
first one of course
uhh.. the first scenario.
You forgot scenario #3: You get deported. See ya!
The first because its closer to reality. I have only ran into a few illegal aliens that believe in the second vision because they realize they left that mentality when they crossed the border. They left the second vision for a reason: The first is better.
I prefer neither. Why don't the illegal immigrants that come here decide to make a difference in their country? Why don't they revolt against their government? If things are so bad out there, then make your voices be heard back home and change things. Don't come into someone else's home and demand change.
We need to forget about color and religion. Our country is in trouble. Americans come in all shapes colors and sizes, but....we are Americans. This is what should bond us together against the world. Do you really think any other country gives a damn what happens to America? Heck, they are praying for our death. Lets focus on Americans, of all colors.

Listen..this is America and our country should put Americans first in everything. Immigrants should not have any rights here at all, lets take care of our fellow Americans first. America is NOT the lifeboat for the rest of the world. We dont owe anyone a damn thing except to our veterans.

Other countries dont even allow immigration..there is no real reason we need immigrants anymore. Let the people from other countries build up their own country, dont run away and try to hide in America. America was built at a price of blood....most immigrants today are cowards in their own country, thats why they try to hide here. Americans are willing to die for our country, but the immigrants obviously would rather let someone else do their fighting and sacrifice for them.

There are PLENTY of Americans ready to work for a decent wage. We dont need immigrants. The H1B visa program is a scam by big business, dont believe for a second they cant find any qualified Americans to take a job.

Its time we took back our country and maybe even changed the form of government we have. We are no longer represented fairly, the representation is for the wealthy and special interests.

The Americans in our country come in all colors and religions. There is no race involved. What IS involved is simple...this is OUR country and we dont want anymore damn immigrants..got it?

People, we built this country and many of us shed blood for our country, we deserve to have a home, secure from foreign invaders. An illegal immigrant is a foreign invader.

America is in a death spiral. We cant carry the weight of every crybaby immigrant that wants into our great country.

We need to put a MORATORIUM on all immigration, until every single American is taken care of first.

AMERICANS FIRST..then..maybe...a few immigrants here and there.

We Americans May be closer than we think....to that special time.....time to lock and load
Is there a difference, they both broke the law. Why should Americans have to suffer, because other Country leaders cannot provide safe living conditions for their citizens. We have our own poor, our own tired, they need our help. We cannot help the whole world, we do what we can, but we need to take care of Americans before helping others.
I think the 1st one, while maybe somewhat exaggerated, is much closer to reality.

The second one is the strawman that the right-wingers beat.
Neither... they should go back home and do it the right way...while there, they need to question why is Mexico's government a piece of s**t?

It's the truth, they obviously don't take care of their people.
I would like the first one but that is not the case for the most part the second one is more along the lines of reality, which is one reason I am opposed to the immigration bill congress has resurrected!

Oh and I would not be mad if some people i know and i won't say who were deported~!
Obviously I prefer the first because it's a story many of us know so well. Americans of past generations who migrated here felt the same way, but the immigration issue has become so inflamed that some have begun to forget. The second scenario is purely criminal
Neither. Both are illegals and aren't supposed to be here. Why is it so hard to believe that it is possible to come here legally? My family did. We were poor and tired too but never took handouts from the govt. There's no excuse for illegal immigration. NO excuse. Americans come first.
Neither in reality but if I have to choose the first because I think the second one will do anything to damage this country which means more illegal things.
Neither, as they should all come here legally, but the first has more of the spirit of the original immigrants to this country.

The second is exactly what is slithering across the border now, and in ever increasing numbers. They are more of a threat than Al Qaeda.

We need a 20 year moratorium on immigration, and get that wall up ASAP.
The first scenario is more true to the American vision. Most who want to close our borders forget one thing: four hundred years ago last month, Europeans began coming to this new land in droves, to avoid oppressive and tyrannical governments and religious persecution - or to build a new and better life for themselves.
The U.S.A. has historically welcomed the poor, the sick, the hungry and the down-trodden.
Now, selfish "Americans" don't want to share their land with others who want a better life. Yes, I believe anyone emigrating to this country should learn its language, pay taxes, respect its laws, and vote. But - unless you're descended from native American Indians - your ancestors didn't bother to learn the Indians' language, adapt the Indians' cultures, respect the Indians' laws, or acquiesce to the Indians' way of life. Instead, we cheated Indians out of the land they considered sacred; massacred members of their tribes; squandered the great plains by slaughtering buffalo just for the sheer sport of it (while Indians killed buffalo only as a source of food, shelter and clothing - and never allowed the carcass to rot on the plains); imported human beings from Africa which were bought, sold and traded as personal property; and eventually put the Indians on reservations (out of sight, out of mind). So for those of us who pound our American chests and proclaim 'illegal immigrants' to be the scourge of our society, might I suggest we look back ot the first wave of 'illegal immigrants' who came here from Europe - and from who most of us "Americans" have descended.
WE are the ones who should be ashamed of what we did to the native residents of this nation - and who should be ashamed of how we have squandered this great nation's natural resources, proud heritage and moral legacy. -RKO- 06/27/07
I believe the American Indians have a good reason to kick our butts out. After all, our anscestors were all illegals at one time..then we took their country, raised our flag and put them all in camps.

I also want to point out that America has had a hand in creating the immigration problem that your are all mad about. Look up NAFTA or CAFTA sometime. Yeah, Clinton sponsored it, but Bush LOVES it. It just helps weaken the economy in countries like Mexico.
Funny thing is LEGAL mexicans have the second view.lol
I like the third option. Enter this country legally.
I don't like either one...illegal is illegal and they should all be deported!
Me, like a majority of Americans prefer the first scenario. The second scenario is the attitude of a lot of illegals that is pissing Americans off.
Neither!
