Why so many negative questions about the immigration bill?

I think this immigration issue is causing americans to show that racism is still alive and well in the US. I also believe that alot of the negative questions and responses are coming from people who have little or no contact with illegal immigrants.
The bill has not passed yet. It is you that is confused.
It did not pass... it still needs to go through the house and they are doubtful that it will...you are the one confused.
Why do think there are so many negative questions about the bill? It is because illegals like you (according to your profile) who benefit off of taxpayers.

How is it a good thing? it lets millions of illegals off. They broke the law why should we let them be rewarded with citizenship, when there are so many trying to do it legally. This bill has just told all those people, to forget the law. Would you let murders and rapists free just because there are so many of them, and thats the easiest way to deal with them? No? Why should Illegals be treated any differnet?

If the bill passes, it's in spite of what the majority of Americans have wanted. Who's best interests are our politicians REALLY looking after? We should always come first in our country, instead, we're coming in last to foreigners!
fireyfox-learn the definition of racisim before speaking of it. Knowledge of a subject one attempts to speak about before speaking makes one look less a fool.
I did not pass, and it will never get through The House of Representatives. Maybe if you would have stayed in school you would know that.
Perhaps all of your anchor babies will at least take advantage of the FREE education they will receive as a benefit of your self proclaimed illegal status.
Because of this:
1. If bill pass you should expect at least 20 -30 million people to come to US. because almost all legalized illegals will file for their family members. Just imagine a sudden wave of immigrants who mostly do not speak English, have no skills for American economics yet except unskilled labor and etc.
2. A significant part of those new immigrants will require medical care, benefits, pension plans etc. All out of American citizens paychecks.
3. Legal immigrants, skilled workers will continue to wait for their immigration and it is unfair to them since they are legals and it will look like for them it'll be better to become illegals to get things done.
4. Illegals disrespect laws and now, instead of putting up with US, they want US to put up with them. It is insult towards American citizens and Legal residents.

The bill goes through 2 house processes of debating, and voting before it is a bill. One the Senate, and the next Congress. It has only been passed to Congress to debate and vote on it now. And congress members still don't like the bill well enough to pass it, and have Bush sign it. :P
But to answer your question in full. Here's your racist friends telling Americans of this takeover they have been planning, and doing since 1967. Which btw I hope everyone against the bill in this forum will copy and paste to every email to their states representatives. Yes including their senators to show them how stupid they were for their voting yes. To their congress members so that it causes the bill to fail before them, and leaving Bush with nothing to sign into law.

I agree with alexandredz. If governement grant citizenship to those illegal immigrants, why people need to bother to wait years for their visa to get approve to come here legally.
