I watched the news the day after they announced who won the title of Miss Universe and the News Reporter (Channel 4 Fox News, Dallas, Texas) clearly stated that Mexicans booed Miss America for the recent hostility against illegal immigrants. I'm sorry but they have no reason to boo Miss America at all. First of all, it isn't like she has any control over immigration laws and second of all those people are ILLEGALS!! The mexicans don't care because they don't have a bunch of foreigners over running their country, taking away their jobs, draining the natives of all of their benefits and then having the gaul to demand their rights that they are not entitled too. They need to get over themselves. Oh, and on another note in case you missed it, the mexicans booed Miss Mexico too and demanded that she change her outfit because she was wearing a controversial outfit that had a bunch of guns and knives that probably correlates to all of the violence that has been happening in the Mexican-American border, so obviously they like to boo their own people too.
No they were not all Mexican. Yes it was held in Mexico ,but the crowd was packed with all races so I dont believe they are all Mexican. It was sad because it was'nt her fault about the whole racist thing. All the people who booed do not have any brains and are stupid. They should not have pageants according to the race , its very racist too.

It was impolite ...but Americans should be able to take what they dish out .In two NHL games I know of Americans have booed Canadian teams .whats the difference now ...just thta it's on the other feet .
Hey.. We American's get booed everywhere.. Our policies are not that popular with many countries. But.. when there's a war or a natural disaster, who do they call first for aid? More than likely the U.S. If I recall, Mexico owed us money and could not pay the loans and we let it slide? Correct me if I'm wrong..

I am from Mexico, i wasn't there, i heard all of it trougth the news as most of us, but i'd like to tell you the feeling of most of mexican citizen, guess.
That's true, most audience were mexican people, altougth there were people from other countries. They did booed miss USA, and it was completely wrong attitude. I cannot be proud of it in any way, but i understand Mexican's feeling in general.
Our media is full of information about the threat our connationals get when they get to the USA, we hear about how american citizen judge and even kill mexican people who are trying to croose the borders, and how american people is trying to get them punished by getting there, even those people who are already working.
I, personally, can understand the feelings of the USA people, i understand the reasons you have to feel theathened by people that is getting inside your country in an ilegal way.
But on the other hand, you could understand that for us is a dificult situation as well, we just see is that people who have done whatever it takes, even gone trougth all kind of danger, just in order to find a job that gives them the posibility to give their families a better lifestyle, wich they cannot get in here.
It has been hard to listen all those decisions your goverment is taking and many of us tend to feel this personal.
I believe Donald Trump said it rigth, that was not about that girl, that was about the feeling of a nation and a society.
