My expartner applying for passport for our son any paperwork/form/info that i'm obliged for?

weren't married

Answer:
I just applied for mine. There was another woman there with a child who had an ex-husband and she needed his signature. She said she hadn;t been in contact with her ex in years so the woman said she was allowed to have a notary sign it. I am not exactly sure what the deal is if you are not married though.
I'm not too sure, but I think it depends on the level of custody that you have.
If you have no custody rights then you would not have any interest in them leaving the country.
no he will just need a full birth certificate. dosnt matter that you were not married.
I normally sort out the passports but my ex did it this time. I did sign a part on the form but nothing else.
He has taken them to China, Mexico and America and certain parts of each of these countries required me to write a letter to say I had given permission (one included a cruise) I'm not sure how much this is checked up on and to be honest a bit of a farce as anyone could write it!!
if you are not married and your son lives with you he needs your permission (have been through this with one of my daughters)
As long as you have no objections, she just needs his passport. If you do object,as long as you have legal visiting rights etc,she will need a letter from you (witnessed by a notary) giving her permission.Sounds like you do'nt object so it should be simple.
