Does a copy of the naturalized papers count as proof of citizenship?
Answer:
Yes, your original certificate of naturalization or certificate of citizenship is proo of citizenship. Social Security Card is useless for proof of citizenship - even noncitizens and visa holders can get this.
If you have citizenship, the best thing to do is get a U.S. passport.
According to the Passport application they do.
You need to have the original. Do you have a S.S. card? Add some details to your question.
I would think so . Not a copy, as in from a copy machine though . You would need an original document or replacement document .
You cannot make copies of your naturalized papers (read the fine print on the back of the papers that says that, its against the law with I believe a 10,000 fine if you do).So the best way would be with a SS#.
