How can you tell if you are really a pure Brit?
Answer:
Pure as in race? First of all that's impossible, second of all only racist people care about such things.
Sounds good enough to me. What is "pure" anyway? Being purely human is all that matters!

of course not, you're half Brit with citizenship and a passport.
I would say to be pure brit, you have to have been born in the UK as would your parents and their parents.
Not that it really matters of course, if you feel British, and you live here, and have the right to remain here, then you're British.
American's of course claim they're Irish even if they've never been there, there parents have never been there but they once looked at a potato
You know when you're a true Brit cos if you need assistance from the System you'll always be at the back of the queue!!!
Is there such a thing as a pure Brit? Not sure. I think you'll find we are all immigrants some-where in our chronological history. I traced my family back and found that originally my family came from the Netherlands (My mothers side) and France (My fathers side) OK that is going back a few hundred years.
So...My believe is there is no such thing as a true Brit. This small island of ours has been invade so many times, Romans, Normans, Angles, Saxons, Vikings, etc.
Some one told me once, many years ago, that the only people that can claim to be a pure or a true British person are to be found in North Wales. Not sure how true that is, but I suspect it is unlikely.

If you are "white", your mum and dad are...your gran/grandad are/were.your greatgran/greatdad are/were, etc., etc., your are ENGLISH!!! NOT British any damn fool of any colour creed/nationality can be British these days, I never write British on anything I am English..you must remember this..

Three of my Grandparents were born in Ireland, (Nth and South) one was born in England from Irish parents. Both my parents were born in England, and I also was. So i regard myself as English first, and British second!
