Questions about Ireland?

After Japan Ireland is my backup for a Country to live in. So here is a few questions. Mostly how does one go about becomeing a citizen?

What are the people like? what is the major Religion(s) Are there many pagans? How do they view outsiders? Is stuff expensive? Do they get anime? If so how afull is the dubbing? Also anything you might find a useful clue.

Answer:
To become an Irish citizen you must be there working legally for 4 years. To work you need a permit, work authorization or the new green card(type in work permits in Ireland for all the details). I lived there for a bit and the Irish people are friendly and very helpful. Crime is low and I always felt safe even walking on my own at night. As for religion, you have everything from catholics to satanists, muslims etc. Not sure on anime as I didn't watch too much tv.
It is a bit expensive but not much more than here and their wages are a bit better.
They are starting to experience an immigration problem but nothing near the magnitude of the U.S.
Watch out for non Irish taxi drivers as they are notorious for ripping people off who don't know where they're going.
I'm not sure you could find a civilised country any more different from Japan than Ireland...how can you be attracted to both of them at the same time?
I feel your pain, I'm trying to choose between Trinidad-Tobago and Iceland.
