People are against uncontrolled immigration. It does not make sense to alllow just anyone in. If we did that everyone that is poor in the world would come her just to be able to collect welfare and our welfare system would collapse.
We should insist that immagrates can contribute to our society.

I take it you don't know much about it. Try looking at the quality of the schools in areas where illegals concentrate, and compare it to 30 years ago, despite huge school construction programs and near constant hiring of teachers. It isn't Mexicans, it is sheer volume, with lack of English and parental low education exacerbating the issue.

Maybe we like a little diversity. Eighty-five percent of illegals are from there, and we accept more legal immigrants from Mexico than any other country. Can we only prove a lack of prejudice by letting them all in? Also did you know that we only have two classifications of illegals? Mexicans and OTM's (other than Mexican). Mexicans are given preferential treatment.
Why are Mexicans against immigration from countries south of their border? Why are their immigration laws so strict? Why do they want what they are not willing to give?

I guess my answer wasn't PC enough for some of you. But the question did ask specifically about Mexicans, so I responded in kind. I know that illegals are from many places, but no other country's people get the special privileges that they do from our government. I don't think it's fair. And I don't think many of you realize where this is leading. Too many people see this as a racial issue.
Mexican immigration equals illegal immigration. Most other groups are doing it legally.
I don't personally hate Mexicans. Nor am I against LEGAL immigration. Simply put I hate the fact that they come to USA illegally and are not willing to go thru the process legally. I hate the fact they use government paid services meant for legal citizens. I hate the fact they overcrowd our hospitals causing my insurance rates to jump. I hate they are not willing to learn the language of the country they are taking advantage of. I hate the fact they demand the same benefits that are given to those who are citizens and pay for those services thru taxes. I hate the fact they are not willing to follow the laws of this country. I hate the fact they attend our public schools without paying for them. I hate the fact they demand that our public schools teach their children in spanish. I hate the fact they don't obtain legally required vehicle insurance causing my insurance rates to soar

Some people have to blame someone for their problems, like not finding a good job, not being able to pay their health insurance etc., and it is only that group that is complaining the most. I believe that everyone has a right to make their life better and due to great economic disparities ( at the minimum unskilled wage level) between the U.S and Mexico, people will continue to migrate to seek a better life. I have no idea where some people get the statistics about hispanics to back up their argument, they are so far from the truth and very ignorant, I am just glad they are not running the country. Because they have bad intentions, as well as the fact that there's just TOO many of them. They are overwhelming us...we need a break. They are ruining our towns and cities, and it's true whether you care to believe it or not. Drugs, gang activity, high crime...you name-it they bring it. It's just awful.
