I think the back-lash of American citizens is far more important. Most of these people won't be comming back next election because their attention was more on illegal immigrants and cheap labor than on the American citizen.
I think there are too many upset Americans to let immigration revenge happen in 2008.
I think it should be one of the biggest issues in the election! I also think whichever candidate who is more outspoken and concerned about doing something about immigration reform will get the most votes. I also think if they are running against Hillary they had better bring up her Dream Act (defacto Amnesty) as much as possible, it will only help in beating her.
They think that Hispanics don't care about any other issues but illegal immigration. Most Hispanic are against illegal immigration. AMERICANS (no race distinction) will have their revenge in 2008!
It won't happen, as long as I'm living.. ANYONE who supports amnesty or this pathetic, unfixable "immigration reform" bill should be labeled a traitor and kicked out of this country.

and if vigilantes are on the borders then they will come to the towns and do the same thing there.

I think many Hispanic Americans (though I think I would prefer to call them Americans) are as outraged if not more so by all this than most like to believe. Think about it they paid quite a bit, scraped to get in the country LEGALLY then you have folks flooding the border and making them seem fools. I can see their outrage. I have a bakery near me that is run by Legal immigrants. When an illegal comes in they go off on them.
All you need here to register to vote is a state ID, I wonder how many illegals cast votes they shouldn't be. We all need to encourage Americans to register and use their power to vote.
I'll be voting for a stance on issues, not a party.
