No matter what the illegals say and do, they have no interest in becoming Americans. They want a free pass to earn as much $$ as they can and send it back to their little old withering grandmother they left back in the villages.
As such, they will not celebrate US Independence. But they sure as hell party like its 1999 for Cinqo de Mayo dont they. And death to the US is we dont go out and buy a 6 pack of Corona to help them celebrate.
I dont think Univision or Telemundo would have any need to say anything to the US. Are they not Mexican TV networks? Not US networks. Your cable or sat. co. just chooses to broadcast it so that those illegals that claim they are not making enough $ and dont have any rights can steal the signal and pipe it into their homes, instead of actually paying for it.
What it the new American dream? All the Arabs swimming back to the middle east with an illegal Mexican under each arm!

Univision has no interest in the Spanish speaking illegal immigrants learning English or assimilating (or legal immigrants for that matter). That would kill their ratings. For instance, when my parents immigrated here thirty+ years ago they watched that channel 100% of the time that they spent in front of the TV. Today, my mom only watches their Novelas everything else that she watches is in English. My dad only watches their 6 o'clock news. I was born here and have no interest in that channel. The only time that I watch it is when I stop by my parents house and even then, I'm not paying attention to it.
Because our crop of "undocumented Americans" (according to Harry Reid) are not interested in assimilation. America is simply a conduit from which to earn and send precious greenbacks back home to their "glorious nation". In addition to ‘El Reventón del 4 de Julio,’ the biggest Independence Day celebration on Spanish-language television, and many tributes on the national news programming, Univision also sponsored an online forum, in English, entitled FOURTH OF JULY 2007 SALUTING OUR TROOPS. Do you have an idea of why you posted a falsehood?
Just because they are in this country doesn't mean they have to celebrate our freakin holidays. I don't celebrate Halloween! Does that make me a traitor against the US? NO! Jewish people don't celebrate Christmas-Does that make them traitor's against the US? no! Why would people from Mexico celebrate July 4th?? Why should they celebrate the freedom of our country when they aren't from here?? Then we'd still find reason to complain about them. instead of this question it would have been "How dare they celebrate the 4th of July with us acting like they're real americans!". No one is ever happy. Why don't we focus on the more important aspects of illegal immigration and stop bashing on the people. It's getting old.
